Dear President Obama, my name is Roxie. Since you are a dog loving president I am hopeful you can help me and my friends. I’m a 2-3 y/o Dachshund mix who was dropped roadside with 5 puppies in freezing weather. Being only 10 lbs, it was hard, but I was able to keep my pups warm until a friendly person drove by and rescued us. One pup did not survive, but my other 4 are in loving homes and now I am looking for a home that will love and care for me! We dogs have had a bad rap. It was not my fault, that my past owners did not take care to ensure I did not get pregnant. There are so many dogs like me, loving, good with kids, good with other dogs and house trained that need homes, but people keep passing us by. If you can, inact legislation that will require care to existing dogs to prevent occurrences such as mine. Until then, if you know anyone that wants a sweet, attentive, lap loving gal, point them in my direction.
