Lucy in the sky with Diamonds..... Ah.....Ah.... Yes, I'm Lucy! A girl that definitely has a sparkle in my eyes and the sun in my face! At just 4 months old and 15 lbs (4/12), my foster mom says I have the BIGGEST Heart in the World!.........*****ALERT! ****** Update 5/1/09**** Thanks to all for their prayers for Lucy. She had her surgery 4/29 and is doing fine although confined in a crate or limited activity for 4 weeks or so as she heals. She is such a little trooper still giving kisses and wanting to play. She sits in the corner of her kennel with big brown eyes gleaming at you, wondering why she is not allowed out to play..... We are still looking for some help to pay for this surgery as the cost is high and our organization has had a run of parvo expenses on top of Lucy's surgery. Please consider a donation of any size to help our fosters. We do not recieve any state or federal donations. It is all through adoptions, fundraisers and donations from the heart. *******Dr. Weakley at CKVC has diagnosed through X-rays that Lucy had broken her leg in the past & it is healing incorrectly making her limp. He further said that if we let it heal the way it is now it will cause more damage and pain to her leg as she grows up. They have suggested surgery in order to correct the fractured bone as well as spay her for the amount of $1,000. Please consider a donation to help us with the cost of her care! She is worth this amount and more. Even a small donation will help!............I'm considered a Teachers Pet as all I want to do is to "PLEASE YOU"! Being a German Shepherd mix I'm a smart as a whip already following my foster family in and out to where I'm house trained. Although I am said to have the deepest growl that other big dogs only dream of, I'm really a big snuggle bear with long fluffy hair on my body and always wanting to cuddle!
