crossed over the rainbow bridge
Shy yet charming canine searching for a patient owner with a relaxed lifestyle that can gently show me what life for a loving gal should be. I’m Chloe, a Pure beautiful dark colored Great Dane with big dark eyes that has been looking and yearning for love for my first 5 years of life. Neighbors had called animal control a number of times wanting something done as they knew I was not being taken care of as I should. Finally I was surrendered and found myself in a shelter, scared, fearful of everyone and shutting down to life. Weighing a slim 96 lbs I do need to gain some weight to be at my best, but I’ve come a long way. After 4 days in my loving foster home, I finally would allow my foster dad to pet me without cringing and cowering in a corner. For my foster mom it was different. I trusted her after a short time and now take her arm in my mouth for a “Doggy Version of a Hug” showing how happy I am to see her. Once I trust you, I’m a very loving and gentle gal that just needs to be trained as I have had no training of any kind. Learning to potty outside is almost complete, I sleep the night through with no accidents, only with an occasional “Sniff” to your face just to make sure they are OK and still with me. Though extra large, I somehow curl up in a tiny little ball to sleep. Not in a crate, as that totally frightens me, but in my own bed next to yours. I may have some separation anxiety so it would be best to have a stay at home mom/dad or a retired couple just to make sure. I am learning to play with toys and other dogs as I have not known this before. It would be best to meet the other dogs also due to my occasionally grumpy temperament to strange dogs. Riding in a car is great fun, mostly because I’m with you, my person. The next best thing I’ve found to you is Peanut Butter! Oh boy, it’s such fun that when licking if off a spoon I end up with it all over my nose! Live can be good, I’ve found. Now all I need is to fine you, my new person to live out a long and loving relationship that I have never known, but am told is something special. My new person will need to be something special to win my love and trust so close consideration will be taken for just the right home. Chloe means Blooming and I want to blossom and bloom with you! Inside companion only please.
