Rescue Waggin' Named after the metal Copper I too am a beautiful reddish colored boy with short hair and white markings to add to my good looks. Being a Lab/Hound mix I’m about 4-5 months old and weighing already 40#. Turned in by my owner my foster mom is still wondering why as I’ve got a very sweet disposition, am gentle, patient and not an overly needy boy that enjoys a variety of stimuli! Having one pink nostril as a stand out point, it is only outdone by my forward facing whiskers that makes my nose look like a sea otter nose. I’m a bright boy learning in just 2 days time to sit and am now expounding on my repertoire to shake (paw), stay, off, lie down and leave it. I come well when called having already learned my name too! Now the steps seemed easy as I went up to investigate the aroma of my foster mom’s cats, but the decent down was another issue. Cautiously I went down touching each step-sideways and very slowly descended. Once “Touching Down” at the bottom, I waltzed proudly over to my mom as if to say “nothing to it!” I do love to “slide-off” the couch on my belly rather than leaping, will sit and lean against my foster mom’s legs and almost falling asleep as she rubs my neck. Snow at first was an experience, but now is nothing but fun! Considered a “Teacher’s Pet”, I do have the whole package, smart as a whip, love to learn and live to please.
