Rescue Waggin' 2/25/10......Like Tinker Bell, I'm a little girl, soft, gentle, sensitive, graceful yet so full of life and eagerness to please. Weighing a mere 5 # and a 1 y/o Rat Terrier gal, I won't get much larger and will always be able to hide in your pocket, slip into your purse or slide into your covers to be with you always. We Rat Terriers are very active small dogs that unlike our counter-part the Jack Russell, we do have an "Off Switch" that allows us to calm down, show a sensitive side and monitor our owners moods. We are expressive dogs that will react to these moods and try to console in times of concern. I was taken from the shelter so am still working on my house manors, not knowing for sure about the potty routine expected, but it will come quick as my breed is also very intelligent. I do need to be in a home with no young children under 5 as I will be vocal if held when I don’t want to be. Like Tinker Bell in Peter Pan, I am a quiet, small and very pretty "Fairy Princess" who will steal your heart. I haven't mastered the process of flying yet, but I do keep trying as when I see others on the bed, I take a running start and try to "FLY/LEEP-up" on the bed but to no avail. I "smack" into the mattress and hit the floor with a thud… Oh, I guess I need to learn to use the steps like the other small-fries do?! Considered a "Goofball" or a "Life of the Party" kind of gal, I am a fun-loving Happy-all-the-Time pup just wanting to surprise you with my next exploits to make you laugh, to keep you on your toes, and "Never Grow-up"!
