Adopted 4/17/10. Beautiful, that's me. I'm Bella a Basenji mix girl, about a year and 3 months and about 42#. That's just the right size to cuddle in your lap or sleep upside down on your couch, at least in my eyes! I'm a funny gal with a lot of personality in a medium body. My foster family are my buddies as we wrestle, chase and just have a great time! Called a "Sweet Girl" by my foster mom, I love to play with my foster siblings and cuddle with their cats. Needless to say, other dogs and even cats are OK by me!! In fact, a home with another dog would be the greatest fun ‘cause I always like to be doing something. Another dog would help me play and help me focus! Going for a ride with my foster mom and dad is also a thrill! Considered a "Teachers Pet", I'm a REALLY QUICK learner, house and crate trained, know sit, down and the stay command – most times! Just give me a challenge and I'll learn it right quick. At adoption days, I'm not happy in my crate. I usually let everyone know that I think a crate in a store is NO fun, but at home if my foster mom puts me in my crate, I am quiet and content. My favorite place is on the couch or sleeping with my human kids. I do need to stay on a leash outside since sometimes I forget what to do in the excitement of being outside, but another dog would help remind me for sure. Did you know that we Basenji's are called the voiceless dogs due to the fact that our larynx is an unusual shape. I do have a funny "Yodel-like" sound instead of a bark! That's just another part of my "winning personality" that completes the package. All in all I'm just a CLEVER gal who will be a devoted buddy. How about a Yodel! I'm ready to give you my all!
