German Shepherd Dog / Irish Wolfhound / Mixed : : Male : : Adult : : X-Large Learn more about the German Shepherd Dog. Learn more about the Irish Wolfhound.
Charlie is an EXTRA TALL boy at 5 years old and 80 lbs. with a guess at his breed mix to be a possible irish wolfhound. Since we can't be sure, we are highlighting the obvious German Shepherd look and his qualities with how smart, sweet and gentle he is. His owners moved and couldn't take him with them. Some observations around cats tells us Charlie will not be a good fit for a home with cats. He also needs a tall sturdy fence and if there is a pool or lake nearby, Charlie would love to swim! He is great with kids who like big furry affectionate cuddles. He knows a few commands, such as down and smile! He enjoys walking but needs reminders not to pull his person along. He is a quick study, making sure to please his person. He is considered a constant companion and a "gentleman" since he thrives from being with people to love on. He is housebroken and without a crate big enough for Charlie, he has passed the test in his foster home, being the gentleman he is, he has been reliable so far. Charlie the gentle giant is ready for his new forever home with an emphasis on "forever" this time.
