At just 8 lb, Cooper is full-grown at about a year so we consider him a real 'mini' but he's got plenty of personality! His foster-mom describes him as smart, confident, playful, curious and affectionate! He loves people and gets along well with other dogs. The best home for Cooper would be one that is experienced with Dachshunds has no children and a routine that includes outdoor playtime in a secured fenced yard, regular leash walks, as well as a home where he is allowed on a couch cushion or a lap whenever possible and someone who will show a strong leadership role with training and boundaries and willing to use the NILIF (nothing in life is free) method.
