About Astrid

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Housetrained: Yes
Astrid is an independent woman! Small in size but big on personality, she loves to sit on the arm of your chair and hang out. She is also a trail guide – she is always trying to get people to follow her around! Petite and sweet, this sleek black kitty is about one year old (as of 9/2010). Astrid likes to survey the landscape of your house from tall places. She’s used to living with dogs and interacting with older children. She has good manners and will even let you trim her nails! When she came to our foster care, she had a litter of kittens, and she was a baby herself practically! But even though she was young, she was a hard-working mama for her own litter AND for three orphaned kittens, too. What a sweet girl! She is a big communicator and will purr and chirp at you, and she likes to be in the same room with you all the time. Look at those sweet green eyes and listen to that purr – how can you resist Astrid? Email your application right now and give this kitty a home! IMPORTANT All adoptable pets are fostered in volunteers' homes. We do not have the volunteer resources to answer phone or email inquiries without a completed application. To ensure your inquiry about this pet receives proper and prompt attention, please complete an adoption application and send to the e-mail address beneath the pet's photo (there is no obligation to adopt). We do adopt out of state. Prior to being placed up for adoption, all cats at minimum receive a veterinary exam and are neutered/spayed, tested negative for FeLuk/FIV, HomeAgain micro-chipped, current on all shots and Rabies, fecal tested and de-wormed, and flea treated with Frontline, and ear mite treated with Revolution if needed. Prior to being placed for adoption, all kittens (under 5 months of age) receive at minimum a veterinary exam and are neutered/spayed, tested negative FeLuk, HomeAgain micro-chipped, current on booster shots, fecal tested and de-wormed, and flea treated with Frontline, and ear mite treated with Revolution if needed. For more info on adoption cost, procedures and to fill out a CAT ADOPTION APPLICATION, click on "Scott County Humane Society" under the pet's photo. Applications must be copy/pasted into an email or word document and all sections must be completed by applicant. PLEASE MAKE A DONATION TO HELP PAY FOR THIS CAT'S FOOD AND VET COSTS
