About Mango

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: Orange
  • Housetrained: Yes
Mango is about 3 1/2 years old (as of May 2011) and a teddy bear of a cat. He was turned in to Lexington animal control by his home because the child in the home became highly allergic to cats. Mango is very sad to have no home to call his own, no people to love him each day and to snuggle up with each night. He is about 16-18 pounds, front declawed, and all love and purrs. He will just lay and look at you making biscuits in the air and purring so loud you can hear him from 5 feet away. He is a very sweet boy, loves to be petted and held, and is very devoted to people. Mango gets along well with cats once he is acquainted and familiar with new surroundings. He will hide and be a bit hissy the first few days, and then it just goes away and you see the sweet and always happy Mango. Mango likes to hang out by your side, at your feet or on your lap. He likes to be near to you always it seems, and is as snuggly a boy as his pictures show. Mango has white mittens and a bib and wears a soft orange tabby coat with big bulls-eye markings. His coat is plush and super soft. Mango likes to play, but is relearning what toys are. We don't think he did a lot of playing at his former home, but hope feather toys and catnip toys renew his inner kitten self! Mango needs love and a home to cherish and keep him always.
