About Lucy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • General Color: White
  • Housetrained: Yes
Lucy is about 7 years old (as of 8/2011) and is a total sweetheart. She was brought into the shelter by her home who no longer wanted a cat when they moved, and Lucy stayed there for a month before we could take her into our care. She has the most glorious longhaired coat and markings of tabby on white, and she is front declawed. Lucy loves being held and cuddled and likes to follow you around. She knows her name and will come to you, and she purrs so happily when you pet her, love on her or pay her attention. Lucy is very large, about 17 pounds and is a Maine Coon and Raggamuffin mix. She is wonderful with other cats and can snuggle with them and hang out with fellow foster purrbabies. Lucy is timid and unsure about dogs still and would prefer either a home with no dog or a home with a calm dog which would ignore her more or less. Lucy's coat will need to be brushed weekly so she doesn't get any more matts. Unfortunately her last owners just didn't care to do this for her and she had some matts around her neck and on her chest. Lucy loves to snuggle up by your side for brushing and is very good at having you groom her. She is best suited for a calmer home where there is not a lot of activity going on. Lucy burrows under blankets and will peak her head out when you call her name (very cute) and right now her security blankets are being used in full force as she is unsure she will ever find a home to love her. Give Lucy hope and the love she deserves, email your application to make her yours! IMPORTANT All adoptable pets are fostered in volunteers' homes.
