About Drew

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Housetrained: Yes
Drew was found as a stray, left behind by a home he once had. When he arrived at the county shelter, he was filthy and matted, and covered with fleas and scabs from allergic reaction to the bites. As soon as he arrived into our foster care his coat was clipped, Drew was bathed (leaving dirty paw-prints and water behind) and he began to feel much better. Drew in a month will look much better than Drew today, he is just needing regular meals, periodic brushings and time for his weight to come back and his coat to fill out. About 3 years old (as of 11/2011), Drew is a Birman mix with a touch of Himmy. He has chocolate points and cute mittens on his big paws. Drew was shy at first but responds great to patience and love at his foster home. He wants to be loved, but for Drew who was abandoned before and left to fend for himself, it has been a process for him to understand he can now have all the love he wants. He is a VERY sweet boy who loves attention and likes to be around his foster family. He does fine with other pets in the home but is still unsure of how to act when they get very close to him. He will need time to adapt to a new home and he needs people who will show him tenderness, love and patience and understanding. He is wanting to be a companion and to have someone who will pet and brush him, care for him and make him a part of their lives. Email your application today and let Drew become part of your heart and home forever! IMPORTANT All adoptable pets are fostered in volunteers' homes.
