About Emma

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tricolor (Tan/Brown & Black & White)
Hello! My name is Emma. I am a female Beagle who is 2 ½ years old and who weighs 26.5lbs (as of 2/21). I have had a rough start to life as I was found as a stray with a litter of puppies. They have been adopted and it is my turn to find a forever home—where I can be the center of attention! I definitely don’t hold a grudge against anyone and I quickly warm up to new people. At first I will hunker down, so you need to go slow with me. I am working on house training and crate training, but I am learning fast! I have started whining when I need to go outside. I am great with other dogs and do well with cats. I would also do well in a home with children. True to my breed I am gentle in nature. My foster dad describes me as a “people” dog—once I get to know you, I will be your best friends and follow you wherever you go! And I would love it if I could sleep in the bed with my people! I would make a great companion for any type of family—a retired home or I could be a family dog. My family would just have to understand that they need to go slow with me at first, but once I warm up, I will gladly roll over and ask to get a belly rub! My Adoption Fee is $150.00 Please send all inquiries with a completed application to schsadoptadog@yahoo.com IMPORTANT All our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes. We do not have the resources to answer phone or email inquiries without a completed application. To ensure your inquiry about this pet receives proper and prompt attention, please complete an adoption application and send to the e-mail address beneath the pet's photo (there is no obligation to adopt).
