Meet Carly! Our best guess for breed is Saint Bernard and Hound. Carly is currently 8 months old and weighs about 65lbs as of 4/6/12. Carly originally came to SCHS when she was just three months old. She was adopted and returned. She was getting out of her owners fence, we think because she was bored. Her brothers and sisters all looked so different but all resembled a Saint Bernard and are very large dogs. So far she is very tall and lanky. Carly is completely house trained and crate trained. She does well with other dogs, does fine with cats although sometimes interested in them, and would do fine in a home with children. She does sometimes jump up when she is excited, so if there were young children in the home, they would need to be supervised with her. Carly is a very playful girl who would like to have a doggy friend to play with. She is very affectionate and seeks your approval. When she thinks she is in trouble she will cower down. She knows some basic commands since she did go through obedience class for 8 weeks as a puppy, but will need them refined! She is a smart girl. Carly would need a home with a privacy fence or someone committed to taking her out on a leash. Carly is also a higher energy girl since she is still only 8 months old--so she will need lots of exercise and stimulation to keep her busy! Carly would do well in most homes as long as the are committed to her.
