Meet Hudson, a male 2 year old Golden Retriever. Hudson is a bit of a big boy weighing in at 65lbs (as of 6/8). He was found tied to a tree with no shelter, food, or water. Thankfully SCHS took me in where I get much better care! He is doing great with house training and crate training. He sleeps in the laundry room at night and has not had an accident. Hudson does well with all other dogs. Occasionally he will chase the cats but with some training it is expected he would do fine. He would also do well in a home with children over the age of 5 due to his size. Hudson is a happy and handsome boy who will give you all the love he can give—true to the Golden Retriever breed. Also true to his breed he LOVES to play fetch with a tennis ball. We are not sure what kind of treatment Hudson received before he came into his foster home, but we know it wasn’t the best as he will cringe if you raise your hand. Despite this, he has the most trusting and kind temperament. He is learning to trust and wants to be in a loving home where he can get the attention he deserves. Hudson will need a family who will give him the patience and socialization he needs. He obviously didn’t spend much time in the house so some things still scare him.
