About Merida

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Gray
Merida is a female Chihuahua mix who is 12 weeks old and 2lbs. We expect that fully grown she will be a small girl under 10lbs. Merida knows that she needs to go potty outside, however she is still so small and young that she is not quite house trained and crate trained. She still uses the newspaper in her crate. She still is sleeping in the crate with her sister Belle—they sleep through the night without making noise. However, it is expected they will cry for a while once separated. She will need a home that will patient and consistent with house training. Merida gets along with all other dogs and does fine with cats. She would really like to have another dog in her new home. She would do best in a home with no young children due to her size. She is very confident and social. Merida is very brave, which is where she got her name. She is named after the girl on the new Disney movie Brave. Both Merida and Bella are big chewers and will need lots of chew toys in their new home. Merida would do best in a home where there is someone home a lot of the time, as she would not do well being crated all day. Her foster mom loves her personality and says she is full of spunk and is entertaining to watch.
