This big handsome boy is Hershey. Hershey was adopted from us as a kitten and we thought all was well with him, until a few years later - he was found outside roaming in a neighborhood in Georgetown. Poor sweet Hershey, at age 3, had been outside for quite some time and his adopter could not be located. Now, back in our care, Hershey is realizing that he is safe once again. Hershey is an extremely sweet big boy with long solid black fur, who loves to be petted and brushed. Hershey does just fine around the other cats and dogs at his foster home, but he may prefer a quieter home. He loves the back of his neck scratched and lounging around the house and is a quiet, easy going resident. Hershey shows no interest in going outside anymore, he is definitely content in the warm, safe haven of a home. He still has some playfulness and occasionally will pounce on an unsuspecting toy. Hershey doesn't seem to be much of a lap cat and is uncomfortable being picked up - but he will sleep at your feet at night and beg for attention by flopping and rolling about. This sweet boy so desperately wants to be loved again, won't you please give him the home home he's been waiting his whole life for? Email your adoption application today.
IMPORTANT All adoptable pets are fostered in volunteers' homes. As we do not have the volunteer resources to answer phone or email inquiries without a completed application, to ensure your inquiry about this pet receives proper and prompt attention, please complete an adoption application and send to the e-mail address beneath the pet's photo (there is no obligation to adopt). We adopt out to of state homes, but ask potential adopters to consider the cost and methods of transport and include this information when submitting an application. Completed applications and inquiries are responded to within 12 to 48 hours.
