Meet Athena, a stunning 1-year-old blue Pit Bull with a heart just as beautiful as her looks.

Athena is a sweet, happy, and slightly goofy girl who loves to please and is very much a follower. She’s easygoing and does wonderfully with other dogs—she plays well, eats alongside them with no food aggression, and enjoys being part of a pack.

She’s quiet, crate trained, and not destructive in the home. Athena loves toys and is learning to play fetch, which has been a lot of fun to watch. She’s also housebroken and does her business quickly when let outside—perfect for those chilly days when no one wants to linger too long.

Athena is calm in her crate, curious about the world, and ready to be your loyal companion—whether that means outdoor adventures or cozy time at home. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and well-mannered young dog, Athena could be your perfect match.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
