My name is Hissy Elliott, and it has been 6 days since my last hiss.

Would I still hiss if I had to? Absolutely. It's my only defense. I'm not mean, wouldn't hurt a fly (well, I might eat one) but hissing is how I tell people I'm scared. I have a history that is a story for another day, but suffice it to say, I came close to not being here today.

My foster humans adore me. Why? Well, part of it is my purr. Hard to get, but easy to love. Another thing they love is my soft coat. I don't let them pet me nearly as often as they want to, but every evening when I'm sleepy, I let them slip one past me. They're always oohing and ahhing over my fur quality. What can I say? I'm beautiful, and I know it.

J'adore other cats. Seriously, I am looking for a pad with another cat. I need a snuggle buddy. I'm currently snuggled up to a grumpy 12 year old tabby as I write this. He hates to admit it, but he loves me too. Dogs? No thank you!

I'm a huge fan of toys. All the toys. Also cardboard boxes. I like to rip them up- helps me contain my tiny rage when the humans coo over me.

I'd probably have to do some serious hissing at small children, so they're not advisable. A nice calm household with people who will respect my process, let me decide when I'm ready to be petted, and give me lots of treats- that's the home I need.

Are you a human who fits the above criteria? Let's chat!

xoxo,
Hissy E.
