Oscar is a lovable dude who is looking for the forever home that will devote to him the attention he deserves.  Oscar enjoys being right beside you at all times.  He loves snuggling on the couch or in bed.  Oscar walks great on and leash and rides well in a car.  He’s crate trained and appears to be mostly house trained even though he was surrendered for peeing on kids belongings.  Oscar seems to not like the noise and commotion small children bring so would do best in a home without kids.  He’s currently in a foster home with both large and small dogs and cats and after initial introductions seems to get along with everyone, but will guard his person and growl if another dogs gets in his face so would do best as an only dog or with another small dog.  Like most small dogs he would prefer and home where people are home more than they are not.  Oscar is a dog that will require frequent grooming throughout his life.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
