Kane is about as sweet of a dog as you can ask for. He spent a couple months at the shelter and was very shut down when he arrived at his foster home. He immediately fell in love with the 11 year old he now lives with but it took a few days for him to realize the house and yard weren't such a scary place. He loves playing with the other dog in the home, and is very tolerant to other dog's possessiveness of bones. Kane is learning to play fetch, chasing he has down but retrieving has been harder to master. His foster mom thinks he is almost house broken, however, he will have accidents inside if there are scary noises outside (or legos between him and the door that one time). Kane is also a bit of a night owl, he is pretty sure 9-11pm is the perfect zoomie time.

 
Kane would do well in a quiet neighborhood with a chill family. He loves to snuggle, and would love to keep you warm during cold nights. Kane knows sit and down, is working on leave it, but is nervous on a leash. 
 
It can take some time for Kane to warm up in new situations, but once he does he is all goofy, energetic puppy! He needs a family that can be patient letting him figure out he is safe.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
