Tigger, affectionately known as Mister Kitty in his foster home, is searching for a very special human who can understand that he had some trauma between being adopted as a kitten and then returned a year later. We're not sure what happened to him, but we are hopeful that his time in foster care has allowed him to heal.

Mister Kitty is a very, very sweet cat who likes to churl and roll over when he sees his humans. He also delivers a very solid head boop. It took him three weeks to even begin to leave the room where his bed is in his foster home. After several days of darting in and out, he finally started exploring the house, most of the time moving like a soldier running from foxhole to foxhole. Over the following three weeks, he gradually became more and more normal and today, over eight weeks after he first came home, he has very few indications that he's anything other than a normal cat.

He is a perfect gentleman about shots, his litter box, his food, and his water.  He does enjoy using a scratching post and will need one in his new home. He also really enjoys having a cat fountain. He is very low on the totem pole with other cats, has no issues whatsoever with dominance, and would like another cool cat to hang out with. In fact, if you have a cat who likes to wrestle, Mister Kitty is all in!

Mister Kitty needs a quiet home and understanding humans. Adults or very mature teenagers are probably best. He sometimes nips when he's done being petted, and then he flinches immediately as though he's been hit for that behavior. He trembles when he's placed in a new area but is ok if he's the one who made the decision to move there. He seems particularly partial to the male human in his foster home. He has a very quiet purr, which he will eventually grace you with if you are very good and kind to him.
