Benito came to us broken and malnourished. We are unsure what trauma he experienced that caused the broken ribs and bite wounds all over his body. After several weeks and 2 foster homes Benito has learned to trust people and heal from his wounds. Benito is a fun loving guy that wants nothing more than to devote all of his love to his person. Benito is house and crate trained. He lives in a foster home with cats and dogs that does resource guard and loves to chase cats if they run. Due to his neglect Benito is food aggressive towards other animals but not people. This is well managed by feeding him in separate areas at designated meal times. Benito can occasionally be growly with new people and would do best in a home with no small children.  If you are interested in this sweet, fun loving guy submit your application today.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
