Hi, My name is Russell.  I'm an A++ lap dog.  I want nothing more than a warm lap to curl up in and a fuzzy blanket.  I don't mind short walks.  I've had bad experiences with men and do better with women when first meeting them, but the shelter staff have shown me that men can be nice too.  The family who surrendered me said I wasn’t good with other dogs or kids either, but so far I’ve proven that as a lie.  I live in a foster home with four other dogs and some of those dogs aren’t always nice to me and I do just fine with them.  I met my foster mom’s friends crazy kids and I even gave them kisses.  Toddlers might not be best as I can nip when I play, but older kids would be fine.  My foster mom hasn’t decided if I like cats yet, I leave the adults alone, but sometimes look like I might chase the kittens.  I would love to find a home to call my own today.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
