Ember is the poster kitty for love and forgiveness. Ember was rescued from the Flora Shropshire Animal Shelter in Cynthiana, KY. She was turned into the shelter last summer and became ill. Since the staff refused to medicate her, she lost her left eye. When she was first pulled from the shelter she was very ill, very depressed and scared of everything. She has handled being medicated, bathed, groomed, poked and prodded with the sweetest nature. She loves other cats but is very shy around dogs. She chirps to be picked up and prefers to be carried everywhere. She has the sunniest disposition and would very much like a quieter home where she can be adored.

Adoption fee: $85 (6% KY sales tax included)

Good with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Somewhat vocal, Does Good in the Car, Likes to play with toys, Needs special care, Playful, Affectionate, Eager To Please, Intelligent, Even-tempered, Gentle

Special Needs: Ember must go to an indoor only home due to only having one eye. Dr.Xzu at Central Kentucky Veterinary Clinic recommended leaving the left eye socket open and recommend the new owners wiping any drainage just as you would wipe any pets eyes. If the eye socket becomes infected, then at that time a veterinarian may need to suture the eye closed.
