Violet is a sweet laid-back lady.  She does fine on a leash and riding in the car and is housebroken.  She gets along with other dogs, cats and children.   She weighs about 48 lbs.  Does not love going into a crate but does fine in one.  She has bursts of energy and loves to run around the back yard but is calm most of the time once she gets some exercise in.   She was a stray and had some ticks on her and was a faint positive for canine ehrlichiosis a tick-borne disease.  So, she needs to take doxycycline for 30 days (until 11/30/22) to clear it up.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
