Bentley is a middle aged gentleman seeking a retired couple or retired individual who would like to add a little joy to their lives.  Bentley enjoys napping on the couch or on your bed.  Car rides are his absolute favorite activity.  He's game to go with you on a ride around town while you run errands.  Bentley does enjoy short walks.  He can be playful at times, but like most middle aged Dachshunds he enjoys his naps.  He won't ever tell if you choose to spend the day binge watching a Netflix show.  Bentley gets along with other dogs and with cats.  He does prefer those that are calmer and not those that jump all over him.  Bentley would do best in a home without young kids as he doesn't care much for lots of noise and commotion.  Dachshunds are prone to back issues, which at this time Bentley isn't showing any signs of, but because of this he will do best in a home with no stairs or very few stairs.  He is apartment friendly as he barks very little.  When taken out frequently he does not have accidents in the car.  He is not use to being crated for long periods of times so will occasionally have accidents in his crate when left for a long time.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
