Barkley is a sweet older gentleman looking for a quiet place to call his own.  Barkley loves to sit in his person's lap and snuggle under the covers with them at night.  Barkley is in a foster home with other cats and dogs and while he gets along fine with them he would much prefer a quieter home with maybe on other calm dog or calm cat.  He does not enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busy household.  While he does okay with children of all ages, he's shown he would not enjoy their loudness over a long period of time.  If you are looking for a cuddly calm dog, Barkley is your man.  He recently had a dental done where he lost all, but 4 of his teeth.  He can still eat hard food, but he much prefers the canned food.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
