My foster mom says I’m a work in progress and it’ll take a special kind of home to adopt me.  I’m not exactly sure what that is suppose to mean.  I think I’m perfect just the way I am.  I’m 11 months old and full of energy.  I need an active home and a home willing to help me exercise to get my energy out because when I get bored I tend to get myself into trouble.  I’m working on house training and crate training.  I need slow introductions to other dogs my size, but I don’t like dogs bigger than me.  My past was a little rocky and I’ve learned that having my collar grabbed or being told no is scary so I tend to snap at the person trying to discipline me.  I need a home willing to be patient with me and teach me me correct dog behavior.  Because of my tendency to bite when scarred or startled I’m not good around small children.  If you have the time to teach me to trust and how to be a better dog fill out an application to take me home today.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
