Hello!  My name is Mr Carson (any Downton Abbey fans?).  Aliases:  Sweet Boy, Little Man, Tarzan, Batman and Lil’ Punk, just to name a few.  I’m an April baby and was completely feral for the first 3 months of my life but I have been in my foster home since July now and I am really loving this new life!  I am super playful and I am learning all of the benefits of this loving, petting, playing stuff.  I’m still cautious though and it will take a little time to bond with my new owner but considering where I started, I am making HUGE progress!  I turn on the purr machine, make biscuits and even started to roll on my back and show my belly because I am learning to trust.  When my foster mom is on the couch, I go and lay on her and just purr away and enjoy all the petting and will groom myself to keep my handsomeness intact.  Now, considering I started my life on the streets, with no human interaction, I still have some quirks and need someone that will understand them.  When I get scared, my coping mechanism is to hiss, run and hide but I have never tried to bite, scratch or be aggressive in any way.  I just prefer to run and hide if I am unsure of the situation but I need my person to understand this and not be intimidated by it.  (I’m doing it less and less too because I am getting so brave!)  I am food driven, cat or human, so you can use that to your advantage to help me get used to you and for trying new things.  I love to play, especially with DaBird toy and a laser pen and I am learning how to climb the cat trees with pizazz!  I use the cardboard scratch pads and cat trees to claw on, so I haven’t been caught clawing on the furniture and I use the litter box great.  I’m taking this “being a kitten” stuff pretty seriously and I’m loving this rambunctious running around and just being silly and playful.  My foster mom’s cats won’t play with me (older grumpy girls), but I have been very respectful towards them and give them their space.  I may like to have a friend but I also may love just being your main man!  I can’t wait to be able to sleep with my person, cuddle, play and explore all the other perks to this new way of life.  If you are a person who understands my background of being a feral and knows that I will be that loving, doting kitty with just a little bit more time, patience and love, please contact the Humane Society.  Also, I will need to be visited at my foster mom’s home because going to events are way too scary for me right now.  Thank you for looking at me…I can’t wait to meet you too!
