Basset Hound (short coat) : : Female : : Baby : : Medium Learn more about the Basset Hound.
Hi my name is Lucy!! I am a full blooded basset hound but I’m sure my stubby legs & long ears gave that away... I still have tons of energy and I absolutely love to play, especially with my two foster sisters & all the kitties!! I do well with basically everyone but will need some special training if I’m going to be around those things humans call kiddos, I haven’t been around them much & they’re pretty exciting! My foster mom says I only have one bad habit & I don’t see it as that, I see it as helping! I like to go around and pick up the stool in the yard so she doesn’t have to!! How bad can that really be? I’m the one doing the dirty work... other than that I’m very sweet, cuddly, & playful. I am also potty trained & like to sleep with my humans, I promise there won’t be any accidents as long as I’m no taken out before & after bed!! I’ll stay in a crate if I absolutely have to but I will run once I realize what is happening. I did pick up on one of the most common basset hound traits & that is my itchyness!!! My foster mom feeds me purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach, gives me Zyrtec in the mornings with my breakfast along with fish oil & that has been keeping my skin in tip top shape so this will need to be continued! I absolutely love our fenced in yard here, it gives me just enough room to run considering I tire out much quicker than my foster sisters & as any hound does, I like to listen to my nose so I can be a bit stubborn & distracted at times.. I love going on car rides so hopefully I can be a travel buddy too, I promise I’m worth the company!! I am hoping I can find a human who is gonna love my quirky, crazy, & sweet cuddly sides. Could I be the hound who gets to steal all your warm blankets & ride passenger in those fun things called cars?
