Gunnar is a 5 year old full blooded (no papers) German Shorthaired Pointer.  He lived in New Hampshire  until about a year ago and was adopted by a Kentucky family who decided he is too big for them to care for.  Gunnar is housebroken, kennel trained, but cannot live with small children or cats.  He wants to be a lap pet and be as close to his human as possible.  He gets along with the two small female dogs in his foster home, but unsure about male dogs. Gunnar has hunted for birds in the past and would love a big fenced yard to run in.  He is not easy to walk on a leash and would require a special harness to allow control on a leash.  He loves table food and is highly driven to eat it.  He would need an owner who understands and could keep him away from the kitchen while food is being prepared or eaten.  When he gets excited to go outside, he will talk to you and he may sound like he is growling, but that is just his “excited voice”.  He is a lovable big guy who likes to smile at you.  Do you have room in your home and heart for this beautiful boy?
