Sassy is a classy lady in search of a nice quiet retirement home.  She isn’t quite sure how she’s found herself looking for a forever home at the age of six.  She promises that she was quite loyal to her previous owners.  Sassy is a laid back gal who enjoys finding a nice spot for a nap whether that be in a sunny spot on the floor or beside you on the couch. Sassy desires a home where her people are going to be home with her most of the day as she doesn’t like being left alone. If left in a crate she scrapes her face up, but when left out loose in the house is much calmer. Sassy is likely use to having a nice fenced in yard so is having to learn how to walk on a leash for potty breaks. Sassy gets along just fine with other dogs. She’s apparently had some negative experiences with cats in the past and is scared of them. She growls if they get in her face or too close and will quickly move herself away from them. Sassy would do fine in a home with cats who don’t care about the dog, but would not do well in a home where the cats are use to laying with the dog.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.
