Looking for a new man in your life?  Looking for someone who is happy to be right next to you no matter what you are doing?   Look no further, Trooper is your man.  Trooper is looking for a home where he can be the only as he doesn’t really enjoy sharing with other dogs or cats.  He will tolerate them, but likes to show them he’s the top dog all the time.  Trooper enjoys spending his days curled up under a fuzzy blanket right next to you.  He prefers that you are home with him most of the day, but he will stay in a crate quietly if asked to.  No apartments please as Trooper feels the need to guard his house from all outside intruders including people and cars.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Dogs (5 months of age and older): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs, at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), bordetella and rabies vaccinations.

SCHS Veterinary Care and Services for Puppies (under 5 months of age): Prior to being placed for adoption, all dogs , at a minimum, receive a veterinary exam, are neutered/spayed , and treated for internal parasites, flea/tick preventative , current on booster(s), and rabies vaccinations. Puppies under 4 months of age will be placed into our foster to adopt program until the above services are met.

Adoption fee: $200 (includes 6% State Sales Tax)   
 
Our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes, not at a shelter facility. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out one of our dog adoption applications ( www.sc4paws.org/forms)  and an adoption counselor will contact you with more details and to schedule a meet and greet. We do adopt out of state. Dogs/puppies are already neutered/spayed, temperament tested, microchipped, current on all vaccines, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites and flea/tick preventative  prior to adoption.
