Anastasia has become the Grand Dame of her foster home since her arrival. This regal lady settled in immediately, claiming the largest bed and the softest recliner as her two favorite spots in the house, besides the sunny back door, of course. Anastasia may be a senior gal, but she's incredibly affectionate, offering throaty purrs and solid head boops when you least expect it. While she didn't tolerate the kittens very well at Scott County Animal Care & Control, she's learned that kitten meows and chirps lead to an abundance of wet food in her foster home, so she crowds into the smorgasbord right alongside her foster kitten pals and enjoys being spoiled. 

Anastasia is missing a few teeth, so she may have had some dental issues in the past, which may require the continued care of a veterinarian. Wet food and dry food are both offered in her foster home and she enjoys eating both.

Anastasia mostly ignores the other cats in her foster home, she does offer the kittens a few mild swats and head boops, but otherwise enjoys waiting on the back of the recliner in a high-traffic area of her foster home for human attention, of which she has received a ton--we just love this gorgeous girl! While Anastasia is content to sit still for pets all day long, she does not like to be picked up. It is unknown how she would react to dogs, so potential adopters need to take her age into consideration before introducing her to a potentially stressful situation. Prior to being placed up for adoption, all cats (5 months and older), at minimum, receive a veterinary exam and are neutered/spayed, tested negative for FeLuk/FIV, microchipped, current on booster(s) and Rabies vaccination, de-wormed, and flea treated, and checked and treated for ear mites if needed.
