This is Fiona. We think that Fiona might be a Papillon mix and are guessing her age to be between 2 to 4 years old. She weighs less than 10 lbs. She was surrendered by her people in another county and was brought here to Georgetown.

The best way to describe describe Fiona is a ball of fluff. She has the softest most pettable coat of fur. It is very relaxing to have her sitting on your lap and to pet her.

Fiona is a little bit of a diva. She likes to be the center of attention and to always be with her human. She will follow you from room to room and either sit at your feet or in your lap. Fiona loves being held and dislikes being alone. She is a great cuddler because she is so soft and light. She will sit beside you or lay in your bed with you all day until it's time to play.

Fiona is timid when first meeting new people. She tends to shake and hunker down and get very small at first. It does not take very long though for her to open up and feel comfortable in your home. She needs about a day to get comfortable to the other pets in your house, but then she will open up and interact with them. She loves to play and chases our Border Collie around the house.

Because she is so frightened at first, we would not suggest she be in a home with very small children. And when you're walking, she tends to get right at your feet.

Fiona loves to play outside and does the cutest little hop when she is running. She also likes to play with squeaky toys in the house. Fiona's all-time favorite thing though, is to be with people.

Fiona is good at walking on a leash. She is not 100% house trained and will use a pee pad about half the time. She sleeps in a crate at night and will bark for about 5 minutes before quieting down and going to bed. She does like to ride in cars and would make an excellent companion. You can meet Fiona at any time, but her vet appointment is not until August 31st.   She will be available for adoption on the 31st  .
