Samwise is looking for his Frodo- is that you? He needs humans who will understand that loud noises are scary and will be kind to him. If you are good to him, Samwise will reward you with making all the biscuits, purring up a storm, and even nursing on your neck or elbow if it's handy! He went from scared little kitten to absolute love bug within three days in his foster home and has taken in all the different sights and sounds that living in a house has to offer with pretty good grace. He is very sweet and very gentle.

Samwise absolutely adores scratching posts, catnip toys, and wand toys. He loves other cats and kittens and will make an excellent companion with his easygoing nature. He's done very well with the older cats in his foster home. While we would prefer he go to a home without a dog, he did get the chance to meet one recently and was less terrified than we expected based on his history. If you have a very cat-friendly dog, he is young enough to adapt given time and understanding. Regardless of who, though, he must have a friend, preferably one that will play with him. 

Samwise has made big strides in becoming a cool cat since his inauspicious beginnings, but he needs a home that does not include kids (or adults) who are loud. Since coming to a foster home, he has only been exposed to one man and one woman, but we feel like he will be fine with most adults and children over the age of 10 or so.

Prior to being placed up for adoption, all cats (5 months and older), at minimum, receive a veterinary exam and are neutered/spayed, tested negative for FeLuk/FIV, microchipped, current on booster(s) and Rabies vaccination, de-wormed, and flea treated, and checked and treated for ear mites if needed.
