Hello, my name is Gus, but my foster family has been calling me Grumpy Gus because of my funny facial expressions. I am actually a really sweet boy that loves belly rubs. I am a 13 year old Shih Tzu mix. I don't have many teeth, but have a great appetite. I am a little hard of hearing but I do hear some tones. Loud noises will not bother me! I am easy going and really don't care about other pets (I pretty much ignore them). I am good with kids but I do not like it if you are lunging at me, so small kids are not preferred. I did not walk on a leash in my last home, but I have picked up leash walking pretty quickly. I am house trained and do a very good job of going potty outside. I don't care much about running or playing with toys, I would rather sit next to you on the couch. I would do very good in a house with a small yard or even an apartment. I like to follow you around and sit on a pillow on the floor near your feet. Or climb up next to you. I can jump onto the couch without any problems. I am a people person, I might not hear when you call me but I will walk around the house for you. I seem to be picking up directions rather quickly. When my foster family walks to the kennel and motions for me to go inside, I walk right in for a good night's sleep. I am very quiet and make no noise. I will scratch at the door when I need to go out or come in. I have yet to meet a stranger and seem to like everybody. If you know how to give me back scratches, then I am forever yours. I might be a little older and make funny faces, but I am looking for someone to spend the rest of my life with. I can't wait to meet you!
