Ringworm is the common name for the skin infection caused by a group of fungi; it is not caused by a worm at all. She will need to continue to take a once daily oral medication in conjunction with lime sulfur dipping. Ringworm is closely related to athlete’s foot in people, and it is contagious to us; the young, old, and immunocompromised are more likely to get it so she should not be adopted by a household with young children, elderly persons or those with immune issues. Ringworm treatment typically takes about six weeks and she started treatment on July 2, 2020 so her hair has already started growing back. If you would like more information on adopting a cat with ringworm, put in an application for her and we will contact you.
Adoption fee: $25.00 (6% KY sales tax included)
