Temperament: Friendly. Protective – but not aggressive. Anxious in unfamiliar or stressful situations (or storms) – may start whining.

Behavior: Well behaved. Picks up well on commands. Very quiet - doesn’t howl. Good with kids of all ages (newborns and up). Good with cats, other dogs, and a variety of livestock (cows, alpacas, chickens, etc.)

She would do really well in a household with other dogs - particularly those closer to her size (she gets lonely).

Esper is in treatment for heartworms and will be finished with treatment August 21st.  She has done well so far and we anticipate a full recovery.  She will require quiet and rest for 8 weeks after she goes to her new home as part of the heartworm treatment protocol.
