Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
Benji prefers to be called Benedict, thank you very much. He's a dignified gentleman, long and tall, and 13.5 lbs of lovable orange tabby chicken. He's the sweetest big cat you'll ever meet, and he's been looking for a home in all the wrong places since October. He's the cat who rolls over to show you his belly and really does want you to rub it, the cat who makes air biscuits, and the cat who can coexist with other cats who don't necessarily like him. He gives excellent, vigorous head boops too. Benedict is a big kitty and he'll need a big litter box with accommodations to prevent litter scattering in his new abode. He is currently trialing one that seems to be working out well, so it can go with him when he's adopted. He gets along well with other cats, even when they're mean to him, and has seen dogs without getting upset, but we're not sure about his overall dog experience. He is a big chicken and needs a couple of days to adjust to his new place, but after that initial period he's quite an explorer. He does tend to talk a lot, especially if he is worried and when he is playing with catnip toys. His extremely easygoing nature suggests to us that he might be good with kids, but again, he's a chicken, so loud children who don't understand how to make friends with a cat might not be the best situation for him. Benedict loves scratching posts, catnip mice, and enclosed cat beds- the more cave-like, the better. Adoption fee: $53(6% KY sales tax included)
