This gentle senior is looking for a home to call his own.  Dexter is 12 years young.  True to the dachshund breed Dexter can be quite opinionated about life when the mood strikes him.  We are working on house training, but so far he’s not much a fan of the wind, rain, or cold and will only willingly go out when the weather is perfect, but he does use potty pads well.  Dexter’s past times include sleeping, eating, sleeping, being under foot, sleeping, sharing his opinions, and did I mention sleeping?  Dexter enjoys curling up in the comfort of a soft bed with a nice fluff blanket or three.  If your blankets go missing check out his bed, you’ll be sure to find them there.  Dexter came from a situation with lots of other cats and dogs while he does get along with them, he would be fine as an only animal too.  He does have a tendency to want to bark at and chase the cats.  Dexter isn’t the most tolerant of rambunctious puppies, but does much better with older calm dogs.  This senior would love to find his quiet retirement home to relax in.
