Hello, my name is Mr. Pepe. I am a Terrier mix, weight 8 pounds, and am 2 years old. I might be the shyest pup you may meet.

I have had a very hard past and when you meet me you will be able to tell some bad things have happened to me. I shake and jump at the slightest noise. If there is a car nearby, I will be very scared and try to hide. My foster family says that someone threw me from a moving car and that is why I am so scared. I don't like walking down the sidewalk when cars are driving by, especially at night. But I love to enjoy the grass.

It might take me 12 hours or so to warm up to you. But once you have earned my trust I am nothing but sweet. I love to give kisses and will kiss your hands, face, and even your pant legs. And if you let me sit on your lap and rub my head, I will be in heaven.

Because I am so scared at first, you might find me under your bed, couch, or some other piece of furniture. I just need some time to make sure that everything is safe. I prefer not to be locked up in a small kennel, but like hanging out in a large kennel with blankets to cuddle up in.

I am great with other animals and I like all people, especially if they are sitting down. I am scared of younger children, they are too loud and move to much for me. My foster family has a 10-year old boy and a Border Collie and we are all great buddies.

I am very loyal and will follow you around the house. When you come home I will show you how much I love you by giving you tail wags, kisses, and hugs. I am quiet and hardly make any noise and I am house-trained. I like to play catch and chase small toys. Pepe has encountered lyme and Ehrlichia due to tick exposure. He is currently on antibiotics and should still lead a normal, healthy life after these two issues are cleared up.

Dogs/puppies are already neutered/spayed, temperament tested, microchipped, current on all vaccines, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites and flea/tick preventative  prior to adoption.
