Dougal is a tough Highland Scotsman, but the end of 2019 and beginning of 2020 was a rough one even for him. He's battled a serious case of pneumonia and won, and now he's looking to win your heart!

Through all the ups and downs of getting healthy, Dougal has been an absolute saint. This cat has such a big heart and so much love to give. He's a total lap cat and seems to be able to fall asleep in almost any position. Dougal loves being petted and gives grade-A head boops. He seems to purr all the time and is agreeable to pretty much any situation as long as his human is near. His ideal situation would be with a human who spends a lot of time at home and needs a companion.

Dougal had his two top canines pulled when he came out of she shelter because they were infected, but this cat eats with great gusto. He's gained over 1.5 lbs in the past month and is now at a healthy weight. He seems to appreciate a smaller kibble size and absolutely adores wet food too and Temptations treats.

Dougal has had absolutely no issues with other cats, even when they are less than agreeable in nature. His history with dogs is unknown.
