Sky is a 3 year old chihuahua mix we got through Martin County in early January. She had a hernia sticking out her side and when we took her to the vet it turned out she had had a blunt force trauma to her side that caused it. She also had broken ribs. It appears she may have been kicked. She has been recovering from hernia surgery and broken ribs for almost 2 months in foster care. Sky is a Diva and thinks she is BIG. She tolerates most dogs in her foster home, but has one she particularly dislikes and will attack her if given a chance. This does not end well for Sky because she is a lot smaller and the other dog will protect herself. For this reason, we believe she may do best as an only dog in her forever home or at least be the only female dog. Also think probably no small children.
Sky is adorable and perky! She is housebroken and has a fun personality. She is quite bonded to her foster Mom, but that took time to learn trust.
