I’m Petey, a cattle dog mix who’s 3 years old and I weigh 35 pounds.  I love running outdoors as well as spreading out on the living room floor.  My first owner passed away and now I’m trying to find a permanent home. I’m neutered, microchipped, house-trained and crate-trained. 

I’m a pretty calm little guy – I even lay still when my nails are clipped!  And even though I hardly ever bark, my eyes will light up and I’ll hop with excitement if you ask me to go outside or go for a ride!  I need a home with a fenced yard so I don’t go exploring too far from home while playing outdoors. 

I get along great with other dogs and kids, but I haven’t really been around babies or toddlers.  The only things I really don’t care for are cats, so I’d prefer a home where the only other pets were dogs.  I know a few commands and will even go to my bed when I’m told

Our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes, not at a shelter facility. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out one of our dog adoption applications ( www.sc4paws.org/forms)  and an adoption counselor will contact you with more details and to schedule a meet and greet. We do adopt out of state. Dogs/puppies are already neutered/spayed, temperament tested, microchipped, current on all vaccines, tested for heartworms and Lyme disease, and treated for internal parasites and flea/tick preventative  prior to adoption.
