Dover is a gentle boy. He gets along fine with the other dog and numerous cats in his foster home. Even the house cat who usually hides from a new dog just touched noses with him and went about her business when they met. We think he will do fine around children. He weighs 60 pounds and will need a large, secure fenced yard as he likes to spend time outside. He was found as a stray and we don't think he will be suitable as a farm guard dog as he will wander off if not on a leash or in a secure yard. He seems to know some commands but needs work on the basics such as walking on a leash. He does not pull on the leash but sometimes doesn't want to walk at all and like most big dogs he doesn't like walking on slick surfaces like vinyl flooring. Adoption fee: $200 (6% KY sales tax included)
