Meet Basil.  Basil is an  3 1/2 month old lab mix who was found on the side of the highway in Mt. Vernon with her brother Rowan.  Basil is full of energy and loves to play. She has been exposed to adult dogs, cats and chicken, but still needs to learn how to interact appropriately with them.  She tends to get excited and run after them.  She is very smart and is learning basic commands such as sit, wait and come.  Her potty training is coming along well, and she is leash trained.  Basil would do well in a home with someone who is experienced with puppies and is willing to do obedience training with her.  She would also do better with older children due to her boisterous personality.  He love of life and people will make her a fantastic addition to someone's home.
