Bentley is a 7 year old, neutered male, silky terrier/yorkie.  He weighs approximately 12 pounds.  Bentley is house trained.  However, he sometimes has to be reminded that it is time to go outside, especially when the weather is cold.  He is blind in his right eye, but that does not affect his ability to get around.  He is very shy and it will take him time to become comfortable in his new home.  He is not fearful of other dogs or cats, but shows no interest in playing with them.  Bentley is not aggressive, but will snap if he is hurt (such as removing a bandage after having his blood drawn).  For this reason, I would not recommend that he go to a home with small children.  He is a quiet little guy who rarely barks.  He does not chew or destroy personal property.  Bentley needs a loving, patient, understanding person who is willing to spend a lot of time with him.  Bentley is sweet and loving, but it takes time for him to get to know people.  He loves to wear sweaters and he loves his very own bed.  As you can see in his photo, Bentley is cute, soft and he can be quite snuggly.  Please consider Bentley if you are looking for a small dog that has a calm personality.     Adoption fee- $  200     (includes 6% State Sales Tax)     Our pets are fostered in volunteers' homes, not at a shelter facility. Please call our Adoption Center to schedule a meet and greet: 502 863-3279.
