Maggie is a sweet, loyal, loving Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. She loves to run, cuddle, swim, roll around, fetch, walk, go on car rides (short or long), eat peanut butter, cuddle and play with her toys, meet new people, play in the snow, please her family, and give kisses. She loves squeaky toys and balls, will tear up stuffed toys and love them better once un-stuffed. She loves pig ears and She has the personality of a dramatic Husky and the facial expressions of an Aussie. She is high energy when she is awake but also enjoys her naps in the shade or curled up inside. She is muzzle and crate trained, although she has separation anxiety so some days are better than others in her crate. She would do best with a family that can spend a lot of time with her by being at home, taking her with them, or enrolling her in a daycare program so that she is not home alone for long. A completely enclosed crate is best for Maggie as one of her nicknames is Houdini and can escape metal barred crates in search for her family. She is house trained and trained on basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, leave it, and more. She walks well on a leash. She is a runner, so a fenced yard is best for her. She has anxiety with loud noises such as fireworks and storms and takes a combination of two medications to help her. She does well with all ages and genders of people. She does not do well with cats or other small animals. She does well with dogs, but must live with other pets that are her size or larger only because she is easily jealous of other dogs, so she needs to be with other dogs that can show dominance.
